Find a way of learning that suits you
You might be new to these practices, returning after a break or looking for more individual guidance. Ask which teaching options are currently available and discuss your experience and practical needs.
Ask Rory about classes or private instruction. There is no need to make a clinical booking for a teaching enquiry.
Learn with an experienced teacher
Rory has a long-standing background in learning and teaching Qi Gong and Tai Chi, alongside his work as a Registered Acupuncturist. His teaching interests include practices such as Ba Duan Jin (Eight Brocades).
Qi Gong brings together movement or stillness, attention and breathing. Tai Chi uses linked movements and changes of weight and posture. Instruction is about learning a practice, not a promise to treat a medical condition.
Group instruction
A group offers a shared setting for learning and repeating movements. Contact Rory to ask about current classes, the level of the group and whether its pace and setting would suit you.
Class schedules, venues and availability are confirmed when you enquire.
Private lessons and individual instruction
Individual sessions allow time to work through a movement, ask questions or focus on the parts of a practice you want to learn. You can enquire as a beginner or discuss previous experience.
Tell Rory what interests you, whether you prefer Qi Gong or Tai Chi, and any practical requirements. Current options, location, session length and cost are discussed directly rather than assumed from clinical consultation fees.
Different abilities, an adaptable approach
Movements, range, pace and rest breaks can be discussed according to your abilities and comfort. Let Rory know about mobility, balance or access needs so you can explore whether an individual session or group is suitable.
Share relevant pain, medical advice or rehabilitation restrictions. Instruction is not physiotherapy, medical clearance or a replacement for prescribed rehabilitation. Stop and speak up if a movement causes pain, dizziness or discomfort.
NDIS participant enquiries
NDIS participants are welcome to enquire about suitable instruction. Availability of a session does not mean it is an NDIS-funded support.
This is not a claim of registered NDIS provider status, automatic funding or reimbursement. Check any proposed use of funding with your plan manager or the NDIA before arranging sessions on that basis.
Ask about current teaching options
Contact Rory for current classes, private instruction and other teaching options.
Include your preferred practice, group or individual preference, availability and any access requirements. Please avoid sending sensitive medical information through a general enquiry.
You do not need to make a clinical booking to ask about teaching.
